1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and hand back on your next request. Cookies that are strictly necessary — the ones without which a service simply cannot do what you asked it to, such as remembering that you signed in — do not require your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Every cookie we set is of that kind.
2. The cookies we set

Over an HTTPS connection your browser will show these names with a __Secure- or __Host- prefix. That prefix is a browser-enforced protection, not a different cookie.
3. What we do not set
We use no analytics cookies, no advertising or retargeting cookies, no social media pixels, and no third-party trackers. Nobody else is permitted to set a cookie through our site. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies from its settings. Because the three cookies above are the mechanism by which we know you are signed in, blocking them will prevent you from signing in or saving your progress. The rest of the site — the landing page, this policy, our About page — works perfectly well without them.
Signing out clears your session cookie immediately.
